Since TeleskopEffekt GmbH was founded, we have positioned ourselves as a dynamic catalyst for sustainable innovation. As a subsidiary of Volksbank Mittweida eG, we are firmly anchored in the digital transformation of the banking and SME sector and are driving the future of financial technology. A decisive step in our mission was the initiation of a groundbreaking partnership with Estonia, a globally recognized pioneer of digitalization.
This cooperation began in March 2019 with a specially organized conference in Mittweida. It symbolizes not only our ambition to think outside the box, but also the combination of advanced technology with a human-centric approach. This collaboration has not only opened up new horizons in the digital landscape, but also built a bridge between the experiences of Estonian companies and the needs of German SMEs.
Estonia has built its digital society on the foundations of an efficient and cost-effective technology infrastructure, starting with regaining its independence in 1991. Key milestones include the introduction of the e-cabinet and e-tax board in 2000, the X-Road system in 2001, and e-ID and digital signatures in 2002. These initiatives have made Estonia one of the most advanced countries in terms of e-government and cybersecurity.
Through our partnership, we have been able to bring Estonian know-how directly to the heart of Saxony. The D(e)-Estonia showroom in Mittweida, which opened in May 2021, is a centerpiece of these efforts and offers German companies and citizens the opportunity to experience Estonian digital services up close and learn from the Estonian experience.
