As Bloomberg reports, banks increased their job postings by 10 % in the second quarter compared to the previous year, while across all sectors of the economy, job postings decreased by the same factor.
This makes it clear that the shortage of skilled workers in the financial sector is alarming. And there is no quick solution in sight. Banks, savings banks and insurance companies currently have an average age of over 47 years. By 2030, they will lose an average of over 30% of their employees through retirement alone.
The decline in skilled workers will therefore accelerate from year to year.
The range of approaches to counteract these challenges is broad and mutually dependent. It is essential to establish an employer brand that is attractive. It is particularly important to retain the important GenZ target group in the long term. After all, these people are now aged 26-27 at the most. So this is not a target group of the future, but of the present! And it is precisely here that the focus is shifting to values and culture at the employer - and that certainly doesn't mean the fruit basket or the pizza from the boss.
What all employees have in common is that money often does not play the main role when choosing an employer. It is therefore imperative that managers recognize that an appreciative and open corporate culture and profit are directly linked. After all, 69 % of employees would work harder if they received more recognition for their work.
The importance of culture and a strong employer brand, especially for sustainable growth in banks, what it actually means in detail and how to establish it will be discussed in detail by renowned experts at Spirit Day.
This takes place on 11.09. and is an absolute must!

It is essential to put your own recruiting on a diverse footing in order to maximize your chances of success on the market.
New ways of recruiting staff are necessary to stand out from the competition. But this requires experts who
