We are delighted to welcome the Knowledge Factory to our unique ecosystem!
The Knowledge factory is a non-profit association that specializes in Educational offers and start-up funding focused. The Knowledge Factory was founded in 2005 with the aim of passing on knowledge and enthusiasm for technology, science and economic thinking and action. To date, the Knowledge Factory has reached around one million children and young people and supported around 500 start-ups.
The more than 130 members of the Knowledge Factory include companies, foundations, networks of all sectors and sizes as well as numerous partners in science, politics and civil society. This enables local involvement throughout Germany. With this new cooperation, we are now the first partner of the Knowledge Factory in Saxony.
The knowledge factory sees the Digitalization, climate neutrality and sustainability as three of the major issues of our time that concern us all and which we must actively address. In order to successfully master the challenges of the future, the MINT subjects plays a central role. MINT is an abbreviation made up of the first letters of the subjects mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology.
For the Sustainability of our society it is essential to get girls and boys interested in STEM. The Knowledge Factory enables children and young people to experience STEM subjects, try them out and get involved themselves. The desired sustainable improvement for society starts with educational programs for daycare centers and schools and continues by supporting innovative tech start-ups.
Together with the Wissensfabrik, TeleskopEffekt is also involved in mentoring programs for start-ups. This enables us to support start-ups directly and thus get access to the latest ideas and best teams. Many good projects have already emerged from this.
We, the Volksbank Mittweida eG and the TeleskopEffekt GmbH, are involved in the Knowledge factorybecause we want to promote and support entrepreneurship in schools and universities. We are convinced that the whole of society needs this again. Doer mindset must be allowed. That's why we want to actively support it with our collaboration, so that a new entrepreneurial spirit is created from kindergarten to school and into society!
