It was a sunny morning when 21 participants from various companies in Central Saxony, employees of the district administration office, the telescope effect and our esteemed district administrator Dirk Neubauer boarded the bus together. Our destination? Potsdam! ️ A day full of knowledge, networking, fun and unforgettable moments lay ahead of us.
Early in the morning: off to Potsdam!
We started our journey at 6:00 in the morning. The journey was sweetened with a delicious breakfast break from Friedemanns. ☕ And with a beaming smile, we all set off together. There was a cheerful atmosphere on the bus - the round of introductions made for lots of laughs and ensured that we all got to know each other a little better. Dirk Neubauer spoke about the 2030 Agenda on the topics of mobility, sustainability, digitalization and empowerment. The Mutoffensive podcast episode by Dr. Julia Breßler and ChatGPT also accompanied us on the trip. ️
Mornings: Hasso Plattner Institute & Mittelstands-Zentrum Berlin
We arrived at the Hasso Plattner Institute at around 10:00 am. It was impressive to see what the institute has to offer in terms of study programs and design thinking. The presentations and discussions in the d.school were informative and inspiring.
The Mittelstands-Zentrum Berlin was also a highlight. It was fascinating to see the times we are currently living in and how we can make decisions. Thanks again to Dr. Claudia Nicolai and Trixi Gumbel from HPI for their hospitality
Lunch break: Light food & sun at L'Osteria ☀️
After the intensive morning programs, we treated ourselves to a light lunch break at L'Osteria. Pasta and pizza were just what we needed to recharge our batteries. ☺️ And the weather was on our side - the sun was shining and we were able to take a short walk to Nortal after lunch. ♂️ ♀️
Afternoon: Nortal & Mill at Sanssouci Palace
At Nortal, we immersed ourselves in the topics of digitalization and cyber security. It was impressive to see how the company works in these areas and what solutions it offers. The practical examples from Estonia and their mindset often left us shaking our heads as to why we can't manage this here.
Our route then took us to the historic mill at Sanssouci Palace. The guided tour of the mill was fascinating and gave us an insight into the history of this impressive building. ⏳
Journey home: Tired but satisfied
After a day full of impressions and experiences, we set off on our journey home. We were tired, but every face showed satisfaction and joy about the successful day. The atmosphere on the bus was relaxed and calm, but every now and then you could hear the quiet crackling of ideas that had been stimulated by the day. ✨
Conclusion: A day full of learning
Our business trip to Potsdam was a complete success. We learned a lot, visited exciting places and met interesting people. But more importantly, we had a great time together and were able to make valuable contacts.
The variety of topics and places we visited enriched and inspired us all.
