Since 2017, Volksbank Mittweida eG has been funding the endowed professorship Digital Business & E-Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Computer and Life Sciences at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. Prof. Dr. Alexander Knauer holds this professorship. He has also been a member of the Blockchain Competence Center Mittweida since 2017 and a member of the management board of the "Blockchain Schaufensterregion Mittweida" funding project. The project is funded as part of the WIR! Change through Innovation in the Region program by the BMBF. The aim of the WIR! program is to form new regional alliances and thus promote sustainable innovation-based structural change. The professorship is a partner of SMEs, banks and municipal institutions in relation to the evaluation and development of digital business models, particularly with regard to technology and user acceptance.
As part of his work for Teleskopeffekt, Alexander intensively builds up the activities of the Startup Hub and intensively accompanies the go-to-market activities of the current startups and investments. With his background as a banker and e-commerce expert, his focus is particularly on digital business models that promise significant and sustainable added value in the relevant sectors.
