As a telescope effect, we make banks innovative and fit for the future. We are familiar with the challenges facing the financial sector and demonstrate every day how we, as a regional bank, can adapt to the future. Volksbank Mittweida eG has been recognized as one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. The competition recognizes the top 100 companies for their positive developments. Volksbank Mittweida eG was one of these innovation leaders in 2018, 2019 and 2020. This was the result of an analysis by the scientific director of TOP 100, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. Ranga Yogeshwar honored us as a mentor of TOP 100. In the independent selection process, Volksbank Mittweida eG, with almost 185 employees, particularly impressed with its climate of innovation.
Breaking new ground
Letting go of the old and daring to try something new: the pursuit of innovation is a top priority at the regional bank. The bank sees itself as a driver for the development of new topics - even outside the normal banking business. Topics and trends are monitored across sectors (AI, cyber security, robotics, eSports, blockchain, etc.). The cooperative bank therefore also scores highly when it comes to the open design of innovation processes, which is practiced in the form of cooperation and networking. One example of this positive development is the close cooperation with the university and the city of Mittweida on various topics. The Human Conference, which took place in March 2019 and brought people from all over the world to Mittweida, was a complete success.
This innovative strength brings the telescope effect into play and also enables the transfer to other regional banks.
