On July 4 and 5, 2023, our Bank innovativ Tag took place at Werkbank32 in Mittweida. After last year's great success, expectations were high for this year's sequel. But the event exceeded all expectations! With the help of the innovation ecosystem of Volksbank Mittweida eG and TeleskopEffekt GmbH, the participants were offered a wealth of first-class speakers, innovative impulses from the banking and financial environment and an excellent opportunity to engage in inspiring exchanges with like-minded people, make new contacts and strengthen old ones over the two days.
What motivated the participants to attend Bank Innovativ Day 2023? Quite simply, they wanted to think outside the box, use the opportunity for further training to drive the banks forward, be inspired by new technologies and strategies and expand their network. Mission accomplished!
"BUILD FOR CHANGE"
The program was varied and appealing. The kick-off on Tuesday took place punctually at 1 p.m. and began with a warm welcome and the first inspiring keynote speech by Leonhard Zintl. The TeleskopEffekt pitch then introduced the subsequent contributions from the individual speakers. The first day was enriched with innovative, entertaining and informative contributions. Topics such as the influence of Gen Z on the banking industry, which was illustrated by Leon Tacke from IBM Technology Germany, sustainability and optimization of data processing in the financial sector, the reconciliation of customer orientation and cloud-based digital banking, as well as the importance of trend and future management, to which André Lohse from Atruvia AG, among others, drew attention, stimulated a wide range of conversations and discussions.
"THE NEW NORMAL"
On Wednesday, the guests were welcomed back with fresh energy and Benjamin Zeitler opened the second half of the Bank innovativ day at 8:45 am. Once again, there was a range of exciting and instructive knowledge contributions and presentations of best-practice solutions from the banking & finance sector from which the participants could benefit. Speakers such as Felix Pliester from the Terra Institute Mittweida and Dimitri Gamarnik from Comparus provided information on sustainability in the banking system. They talked about autonomous banking, IT governance and changes in the area of construction financing and drew attention to the importance of process management and workplace culture. Finally, Hasan Ylmaz, representing Microsoft, provided material for discussions about the future of the working world with AI.
And so Bank Innovative Day 2023 came to an end.
Artificial intelligence was a clear thematic front-runner. Generative AI and its integration into the banking system was a common thread running through the content of this year's contributions to Bank innovativ Tag. However, the topics of process and trend management, future management and customer orientation also clearly dominated the discussions. In addition to the professional exchange, networking was an important part of the two-day meeting. Q & As following presentations and breaks were used for intensive discussion and reflection at eye level. The inspiring environment of the event helped the participants to motivate each other and develop innovative ideas.
