Mittweida as a location for innovation and the future
Ceremonial signing of the partnership agreement between Volksbank-TeleskopEffekt & the town of Mittweida
Mittweida, January 31, 2023: True to the cooperative principle "What one person can't do alone, many can", the three partners City of Mittweida, Volksbank Mittweida and its subsidiary TeleskopEffekt have been pulling together for years. The declaration of partnership represents another major step towards innovation:
Together, the partners want to engage with companies in the region and support and accompany them on their digitalization journey. In this way, the partners are making an active contribution to making entrepreneurs fit for the future and thus strengthening the attractiveness of the location. This will not only ensure the prosperous development of existing companies, but will also attract new companies to Mittweida.
The cooperation is to take place in close coordination between the stakeholders, in particular between TeleskopEffekt GmbH, Volksbank Mittweida eG, the city of Mittweida and Mittweidaer Wirtschafts- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (MWE GmbH).
Furthermore, joint events are to be implemented to support local companies with digitalization, sustainability and future topics. Three projects are already planned at the moment:
Digital map workshop for the city administration of Mittweida
Joint organization of an SME day
Joint business reception for Mittweida companies
In addition, Mittweida is to gain interest as a business location in general. Together, the partners want to attract new companies to the region.
The Werkbank32 innovation center, which is operated by Teleskopeffekt, can be used for events. There are already established formats such as the Business Succession Forum, start-up toolboxes and many more. The first start-ups are also based at Werkbank32. Innovative event ideas are to be jointly developed and promoted. Teleskopeffekt Managing Director Dr. Benjamin Zeitler is delighted that his innovation center will receive even more visitors in the future: "We have already gained experience and built up a large network so that we can support companies on a wide range of topics."

Mayor Ralf Schreiber is delighted about the even closer ties with Volksbank Mittweida eG and TeleskopEffekt: "We are delighted that Volksbank always wants to promote the town and the region. This gives us a tailwind in our daily work and we want to strengthen it."
